What Is Electrolysis?
Electrolysis is the only FDA-approved method of permanent hair removal. It works by delivering a small amount of electrical current directly into the hair follicle, destroying the cells responsible for hair growth. It’s the only method that works on all hair types and colors — including blonde, gray, red, and fine hairs — and is safe for all skin tones.

How It Works
A fine, sterile probe (as thin as the hair itself) is gently inserted into the natural opening of the follicle. A small current is applied to destroy the follicle’s ability to grow new hair. The treated hair is then removed with tweezers — it should slide out easily, with no resistance.
There are three types of electrolysis:
- Thermolysis (uses heat)
- Galvanic (uses chemical reaction)
- Blend (combines both)

Sessions are typically scheduled weekly or biweekly to catch hairs in their active growth phase.
Each visit removes more hair, and over time, regrowth becomes finer, slower, and eventually stops altogether.
