At Root Remedy Electrolysis, all services are provided within clearly defined clinical, consent-based boundaries to ensure safety, professionalism, and consistent treatment outcomes.

All clients are required to review and agree to these policies prior to booking or receiving services.

APPOINTMENT BOOKING & PAYMENT

Booking Requirements

• All appointments must be booked in advance through approved booking channels

• Appointments are not confirmed until payment is received (prepaid policy applies)

• No services will begin without completed payment.

CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING

• Minimum notice required: 24 hours (choose your policy)

• Late cancellations may result in forfeited payment

• No-shows are non-refundable

• Repeated cancellations may result in booking restrictions

SCOPE OF SERVICES

Root Remedy Electrolysis provides professional electrolysis services for all clients regardless of gender identity, including gender-affirming care.

Eligible Treatment Areas

• Facial and body electrolysis

• Bikini line and pubic region

• Mons pubis (pubic mound)

• Inner thigh / groin transition areas

• Scrotum (when appropriate and consented)

GENITAL SERVICES POLICY

The following are NOT included in standard services:

• Penile shaft

• Glans (head of penis)

These areas are excluded from consultation and treatment unless:

• Explicitly discussed in advance

• Agreed upon in writing

• Approved by the practitioner based on clinical suitability

CONSULTATION & TOLERANCE TESTING

When performed, tolerance testing is:

• Limited to a small number of follicles

• Restricted to approved treatment zones only

• Used to evaluate skin response, comfort, and treatment settings

Testing does not constitute full treatment.

The practitioner may adjust or stop at any time for safety or clinical judgment.

CLIENT PREPARATION

Clients must arrive:

• With clean, dry skin

• Without lotions, oils, or topical products on treatment area

• Following any pre-appointment instructions provided

For genital consultations:

• Loose-fitting clothing is recommended for access and comfort

• Privacy and professional draping are maintained at all times

PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT & CLINICAL ENVIRONMENT

Root Remedy maintains a strictly professional clinical setting.

Clients are expected to:

• Follow practitioner instructions

• Respect draping and privacy protocols

• Maintain appropriate behavior at all times

The practitioner reserves the right to:

• Pause or stop treatment

• Refuse or discontinue service

• Decline future bookings

This is based on professional discretion and safety standards.

MEDICAL & SAFETY POLICY

Clients must disclose:

• Medical conditions

• Medications

• Skin conditions or sensitivities

The practitioner may request medical clearance if needed for safety.

RISKS & EXPECTED REACTIONS

Electrolysis in sensitive areas may result in:

• Temporary redness or swelling

• Mild pinpoint scabbing

• Skin sensitivity

• Temporary pigmentation changes

Individual results and healing responses vary.

CONSENT REQUIREMENT

No treatment will be performed without signed consent forms:

• General Electrolysis Consent Form

• Genital Electrolysis Addendum (if applicable)

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

Root Remedy Electrolysis reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time for:

• Safety concerns

• Inappropriate conduct

• Clinical unsuitability

• Violation of policies
